Anthropic Forms Joint Venture With Wall Street Firms

SAN FRANCISCO — Anthropic is forming a joint venture with Wall Street financial firms to expand its enterprise AI offerings, TradingView reported Monday.

The joint venture targets the financial services sector, a data-intensive industry that AI companies have increasingly pursued for enterprise contracts.

Details of the specific Wall Street firms involved and the financial terms of the arrangement were not immediately available from the initial report. AI Dispatch News is seeking additional confirmation from Anthropic and the reported financial partners.

The move comes as major AI laboratories compete for enterprise customers, particularly in regulated industries such as banking, insurance and asset management. Financial institutions have adopted AI tools for tasks ranging from document analysis and compliance monitoring to trading strategy support and client communications.

Anthropic, which was founded in 2021 by former OpenAI executives Dario and Daniela Amodei, has raised billions in venture funding and counts Amazon and Google as major investors. The company has positioned itself as a safety-focused alternative in the AI race, while simultaneously building out commercial products including its Claude chatbot and API services.

Joint venture structures generally involve deeper integration and shared investment than standard licensing agreements. Technology companies in the AI sector have more often sold model access through API subscriptions or cloud marketplace listings.

The financial services industry has emerged as a key area of focus for enterprise AI providers. OpenAI, Google and Microsoft have all announced dedicated financial services initiatives in recent months, and smaller AI firms such as Cohere and AI21 Labs have also targeted the sector.

Major banks including JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley have deployed large language models for internal use cases since 2024. A joint venture with an AI lab of Anthropic’s scale could give participating firms preferential access to model development and customization capabilities.

The deal follows a pattern of AI companies expanding into specialized enterprise deployments alongside consumer-facing products.

This is a developing story. AI Dispatch News will update this article as additional details become available.
