Tidio Copilot, a free Chrome extension that drafts customer-support replies, runs on Anthropic's Claude AI and reaches every business on Tidio's underlying platform, which the vendor states serves more than 300,000 businesses.

The tool suggests responses based on conversations handled across live chat, email and social media, drawing on a knowledge base built from a business's own website content and FAQs. It integrates with Zendesk, Intercom, Gorgias and Gmail and installs as a free Chrome extension.

Tidio states the product is "GDPR and CCPA compliant" and that data is protected by encryption at rest and in transit. Neither claim is backed on the page reviewed by a named auditor, certificate or report date. An AI Dispatch review conducted this week scored the compliance dimension at 1 out of 3 under the outlet's trust-gap rubric, the tier reserved for claims made without third-party attestation.

The review found no evidence of an audit trail for Copilot's suggestions or the agent's activity, and no enforced runtime governance. The vendor's own no-hallucination claim, "Copilot only uses your approved knowledge," describes a grounding design choice rather than a limit enforced while the agent runs. No insurance or indemnity term of any kind is published. Because the extension is "completely free to use," the review also found no outcome-linked payment mechanism to evaluate.

Copilot's own adoption is not separately disclosed. Tidio's site states the extension "isn't a standalone tool" but "the exact same Copilot AI that's built into Tidio's complete platform used by 300,000+ businesses" — a figure that describes the wider platform, not the Copilot feature specifically.
