Anthropic Hits $30B Revenue Run Rate After 80x Growth

SAN FRANCISCO — Anthropic has reached a $30 billion annual revenue run rate after 80-fold year-over-year growth the company described as “crazy,” according to VentureBeat.

Anthropic’s growth from roughly $375 million in annualized revenue to the $30 billion run rate was driven by demand for its Claude models across both API integrations and direct enterprise deployments. The figure represents revenue on an annualized basis, meaning the company’s most recent earnings period was projected forward over a 12-month span.

The San Francisco-based company, founded in 2021 by former OpenAI executives Dario and Daniela Amodei, has received investment from major technology firms. Amazon has committed up to $8 billion in Anthropic, while Google has also invested in the company.

Anthropic’s revenue milestone comes as OpenAI has also reported revenue growth amid enterprise adoption of AI capabilities across the United States and globally. The two companies, along with Google DeepMind, Meta AI and others, are competing to develop and deploy frontier AI systems.

Anthropic has emphasized AI safety research alongside commercial product development.
