ServiceNow Unveils Data Platform for Enterprise AI Agents
SANTA CLARA, Calif. — ServiceNow on Tuesday launched what it calls a real-time data foundation, a platform designed to give autonomous AI agents the ability to operate across enterprise workflows, according to a Business Wire announcement.
The product positions the Santa Clara-based enterprise software company as a hub for agentic AI deployment within large organizations, providing a unified data layer that AI agents can access to make decisions and take actions in real time across business processes.
The announcement comes as enterprise software providers race to build infrastructure for the emerging class of autonomous AI agents — systems capable of completing multi-step tasks without continuous human oversight. ServiceNow, which counts Fortune 500 companies among its customers through its workflow automation platform, said real-time data access is a key requirement for enterprise AI adoption.
The move comes amid a broader trend in which established enterprise platforms are repositioning as foundations for agentic AI. Companies including Salesforce, Microsoft and SAP have each announced plans to integrate AI agents with their existing business systems, according to company announcements.
For ServiceNow, the strategy builds on its existing IT service management and workflow automation tools, extending them with a data layer specifically architected for autonomous AI operations. The company said the real-time component is essential because AI agents operating in enterprise environments require current data to make accurate decisions — outdated or batch-processed information can lead to errors in automated workflows.
ServiceNow trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker NOW and reported more than $10 billion in annual revenue in its most recent fiscal year, according to company financial disclosures, making it among the largest enterprise software companies in the United States.
ServiceNow did not immediately disclose pricing, specific technical capabilities or general availability timelines for the new platform.
