Anthropic Launches Enterprise Security Tool Ahead of Mythos Model Release

SAN FRANCISCO — Anthropic has launched a new security tool for enterprise customers, ahead of the expected wider release of its Mythos cybersecurity model, according to AI Business.

Details on specific features, pricing and initial enterprise customers were not immediately disclosed. AI Business described the forthcoming Mythos model as “powerful and controversial” but did not elaborate on that characterization.

Anthropic has built its reputation primarily on its Claude family of general-purpose AI models. The San Francisco-based company is now entering the enterprise security space, where it will compete with established cybersecurity vendors that have integrated AI capabilities into their products.

Several major technology companies have released AI-driven security tools in recent months, including Microsoft and Google, alongside a number of startups. Anthropic’s entry adds another major AI lab to the field.

Anthropic, which has raised billions in funding from investors including Google and Salesforce, was founded in 2021 with a focus on AI safety research.

Further details on the Mythos model’s release timeline and the enterprise tool’s full feature set were not available at the time of publication.
