Superagent positions itself as security layer for AI-native developer teams

The company's site describes runtime guardrails and self-serve red-teaming for coding agents, with no published audit-trail, compliance, insurance or settlement terms.

Coding-agent security vendor Superagent describes itself on its website as "Security for AI-native developers," according to the company's current homepage.

The company says its product enforces limits on agent behavior while it runs: "guardrails block prompt injections and unsafe tool calls at runtime," the site states. It also offers a testing feature it calls "self-serve red teaming against what you actually run."

Superagent's site describes a governance approach centered on runtime rules and reputation scoring: "control it where it runs deterministic rules for what agents do, trust scores for everything they consume — and sensitive activity stays on the endpoint," according to the company's most recent capture, retrieved Aug. 18.

The product connects directly to developer infrastructure. "connect to github — keeps your repos secure," the site states, and offers a Model Context Protocol integration: "add the mcp server — red-team your code and agents from your coding agent." Superagent says its tool is "free for open source. the whole suite, on any public repo," with private-repository use offered on a paid basis. Companies listed as users include Ubicloud, Evry Health, Dotenvx, Firecrawl, Capchase, Nango, Mastra and Paperclip, according to the site.

On AI Dispatch's assurance rubric, Superagent's published runtime-guardrail and red-teaming claims fall under the runtime_governance and red_teaming dimensions the index tracks across entities. The company's site does not currently address audit-trail record-keeping, compliance certification, insurance coverage or outcome-based settlement terms, based on the most recent capture reviewed.
