Lloyd's of London, marketplace underpinning much of AI risk coverage, discloses no AI-specific terms at the market level

Lloyd's reports £57.9 billion in gross written premium across its syndicates. AI Dispatch's index finds no public information on audit trail, governance or liability terms specific to AI risk.

Lloyd's of London, the insurance marketplace whose member syndicates underwrite much of the nascent AI-liability and AI-performance insurance market -- including capacity distributed through Munich Re's aiSure program -- publishes no public information on AI-specific audit, governance, compliance, outcome-settlement or liability terms at the market level, according to AI Dispatch's index of AI insurance vendors.

Lloyd's describes itself as "the only insurance marketplace of its kind in the world," bringing together "more than a hundred syndicates and thousands of investors" that, together, "shoulder more insurance risk for every unit of capital than any other financial institution in the world," according to its website. The market says it serves "200+ territories" through "50+ leading insurance companies" and recorded "£57.9bn gross written premium," the site states.

Those figures describe the scale of the marketplace, not the terms of any AI-specific policy. Of the 45 fields in AI Dispatch's index that apply to Lloyd's as a vendor, 42 currently show no public information, including every field the outlet tracks for audit trail, runtime governance, compliance certification, outcome-based settlement, coverage limits and liability caps as they would apply to AI risk specifically.

That gap is structural rather than unusual: Lloyd's itself does not underwrite policies. Individual syndicates operating within the market do, and set their own terms, capacity and disclosures -- which is why AI Dispatch separately tracks syndicates and brokers such as Munich Re aiSure, Mosaic Insurance, Chaucer Group and Armilla AI that place or arrange AI-specific coverage through the Lloyd's market. But it means the address through which much AI insurance capacity ultimately routes discloses no AI-specific terms at the market level, leaving buyers and researchers to find them syndicate by syndicate rather than at a single, citable source.
