AI agent observability vendor LangWatch discloses no insurance or liability cover for its own product
LangWatch sells the audit logs, evaluation scoring and red-teaming that other companies use to govern their AI agents; its site names an ISO 27001 certification and a compliance-monitoring vendor but publishes no insurance, liability cap, or third-party evaluation of its own claims.
LangWatch, a platform that sells observability, evaluation and red-teaming tools for other companies' AI agents, publishes no insurance, liability cap or indemnification terms for its own product, according to the company's site reviewed by AI Dispatch.
The company's pitch centers on auditability. It says "Every tool call, skill, and MCP server is traced, and mockable or fixtured for deterministic runs," and offers an "Audit log → SIEM" feed alongside "RBAC + REST APIs SCIM + SSO Cost-center attribution" for access control. LangWatch says it runs "Red teaming Adversarial simulations probe for jailbreaks, policy breaks, and unsafe tool calls before your users find them," and lets customers "Evaluate Score everything, from a single output to a whole conversation, offline and live in production."
On its own compliance, LangWatch's site states it is "ISO 27001 Certified GDPR Compliant EU data Residency Monitored by Vanta." Vanta is a compliance-automation platform that continuously checks a company's controls against a framework rather than an independent auditor; the page names no certifying body, auditor or certificate for the ISO 27001 claim, and LangWatch publishes no third-party evaluation of its own product.
What the site does not publish: insurance coverage, a liability cap, indemnification terms, coverage limits, or an asset-custody arrangement for LangWatch itself. All of those fields, along with third-party evaluation, register as no public information available in AI Dispatch's index, most recently checked Aug. 25.
The gap is notable because of what LangWatch sells. The company builds the audit-trail and governance tooling other companies use to assess whether their own AI agents can be trusted — the same categories AI Dispatch's trust-gap rubric scores as audit_trail and runtime_governance. LangWatch's marketing copy addresses both for its customers. Neither an independent evaluation of LangWatch's own claims nor any insurance backing its own product appears on the page reviewed.
