Hiscox to acquire Corix, the underwriting arm behind insurance broker Vouch

Hiscox has agreed to acquire Corix, the underwriting division of insurance broker Vouch, according to a notice posted on Vouch's website. "Hiscox to acquire Corix, the underwriting division of Vouch, bringing more coverage options to Vouch clients," the notice states.

Corix has underwritten policies that Vouch places for its clients. Vouch, which describes itself on its site as "the insurance broker for leaders," says it is "Trusted by 6,000+ companies in technology healthcare & life sciences professional services financial services." Insurance services are provided through Vouch Specialty Insurance Services, LLC, according to the company's website.

Vouch's homepage states "6 k + companies insured," a figure AI Dispatch's index records as more than 6,000 companies. The site also discloses that coverage availability is state-dependent: "Not all products available in all states."

Neither company has published deal terms, a closing timeline, or details on how Corix's existing book of business will be handled after the acquisition, based on material currently posted on Vouch's site.
