CodeRabbit adds regional CLI auth, a branch-commit option for Fix CI and Jira context exclusions; changelog names no insurance terms

AI code-review tool CodeRabbit shipped two dated platform updates in early August: CLI version 0.7.2 on Aug. 5 and a change to its automated CI-fix delivery on Aug. 3, according to the company's public changelog.

The CLI release "expands regional authentication and improves reliability for local and agent-driven reviews," the changelog states. Developers can "use coderabbit auth login --region eu for EU OAuth or API-key sign-in (or --region us for US)," with saved sign-ins retaining the selected region and the U.S. remaining the default. The release also changes error handling: reviews "now stop promptly when their live connection drops, avoiding long waits and duplicate terminal errors," and unsupported agent commands "now return one structured, machine-readable error for invalid commands or options."

Two days earlier, CodeRabbit changed how its Fix CI feature delivers automated fixes for failing continuous-integration checks. Fix CI "can now deliver generated fixes in a stacked pull request or directly to the current pull request branch," the changelog says, letting users choose between two previously separate workflows through the @coderabbitai fix-ci command.

A third change, dated July 30, gave workspace administrators more control over what CodeRabbit reads before generating a review. "Workspace administrators can now set excluded_project_keys to prevent specified Jira projects from being used as CodeRabbit context," according to the changelog, and "exclusions are managed as a workspace-level security policy and always take precedence over the project_keys allowlist."

CodeRabbit reviews code at the pull-request stage and inside IDEs and command-line tools. The company says its product has been used across "6M Repositories 75M Defects found," and lists itself as "SOC 2 Type II certified," according to its own site as captured in AI Dispatch's index. The Aug. 3 and Aug. 5 changelog entries name no insurance carrier, coverage limit or indemnity term.
