Voice AI platform Bland reports 591 million calls resolved, discloses no insurance or liability terms for its own service
Bland markets its agents into healthcare, insurance and financial services and lists SOC 2, HIPAA and PCI DSS certifications, but publishes no insurance, indemnification or dispute-resolution terms of its own.
Bland, an enterprise voice AI platform, describes itself as "Voice AI for regulated industries including healthcare, insurance, financial services, and logistics" and says its agents have handled "591,869,481 calls resolved to date," according to the company's website.
One customer story on the site, an insurance-sector deployment with MyPlanAdvocate, says the company added "$40M added in five months" after putting one phone agent on every inbound call and a second on post-sale compliance disclosures.
Bland says "Bland holds SOC 2 Type I and Type II, HIPAA, and PCI DSS certifications," and describes its security posture as "Encryption, audit trails, and certifications that pass security, procurement, and legal on day one." Published access controls include "Access controls Role-based access with least privilege. MFA on every production system," and the company lists an incident-response commitment: "Incident response 24/7 on-call engineering. Documented runbooks. SLA-bound notifications."
The company's public materials do not mention insurance coverage, indemnification, a liability cap, or a dispute-resolution process covering its own AI decisions. That is a gap worth noting given where Bland sells: insurance claims handling and healthcare patient calls, two areas where an automated agent's mistake -- a missed disclosure, a mishandled claim intake -- creates liability for the customer, not just Bland.
Under AI Dispatch's five-dimension trust-gap rubric, Bland's published material supports real findings on audit trail and runtime governance -- role-based access, MFA, documented incident response. Compliance certification is also documented. Insurance/indemnity and outcome-settlement terms are absent from the same page. That combination -- strong operational-security disclosure paired with zero insurance disclosure -- recurs across the vendors AI Dispatch has indexed to date, but it is more pointed here than most: Bland's own marketing names insurance as one of the industries its agents work in.
