Apify Store claims SOC 2, GDPR and CCPA compliance and 99.95% uptime on its own site; discloses no auditor, insurance or liability terms

Apify Store, which describes itself on its own site as "the largest marketplace of trusted tools for AI," lists more than 58,000 packaged web-scraping and automation tools it calls Actors. The platform states "99.95% uptime" and says it is "SOC2, GDPR, and CCPA compliant," according to a copy of the page captured Aug. 9. The site names no auditor, certificate or audit date behind any of the three figures.

Actors are built by Apify or by outside developers, who publish free of charge and are paid from what customers spend on the compute the tools use — "the customers pay for the computing resources," per the site. The platform has also added MCP connectors linking Actors to services including Notion, Slack and GitHub. "Read, write, and trigger workflows mid-run, with no credentials shared," the site states, describing the connectors as a way for an Actor to act on a linked account without being handed that account's login credentials.

Among customer quotes the site publishes is one attributed to Marie-Paule Benassi, identified as consumer affairs director at the European Commission, crediting the platform's tools with "detecting infringements of consumer protection legislation." Other quoted customers include engineering and sales leaders at Intercom and Groupon.

Apify's site publishes no insurance carrier, coverage limit, liability cap or indemnification term for the platform or the Actors that run on it, and no named third party has verified the uptime or compliance figures the company states about itself, according to AI Dispatch's review.
